Earthquake Guide

Granular checklist for early phone warnings, indoor cover procedures, and coastal evacuation zones.

Immediate Indoor Action

Do not run outside. Falling glass, tiles, and concrete masonry from building facades pose the highest injury risk.

The Protocol:

Drop to the floor, take Cover under a sturdy table, desk, or door frame, and Hold onto the legs until the shaking stops entirely.

Evacuation & Tsunami Protocol

If you are located near coastal areas during or immediately after a major earthquake:

Tsunami Escape:Immediately move to high ground or step onto the upper levels (3rd floor or higher) of a designated steel-reinforced concrete building.
Follow Signs:Follow the green "running man" emergency exit directional signs. They will lead you directly to local neighborhood school fields and parks, which serve as community evacuation base zones.

Phone EEW Alarm

Your smartphone will automatically trigger a loud, distinct siren sound and display an Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) text alert a few seconds before major seismic waves hit.
